All turkeys are pasture raised by Yundwell Farm in Canaan, NY run by Mike Yund and Michelle Maxwell, along with their livestock guardian dogs Nellie, Esther, and Roscoe. Nellie, Esther, and Roscoe are livestock guardian dogs and truly the cornerstone of the operation. All three are Maremmas, an Italian dog breed that has been bred to live outdoors in the elements and protect sheep. They live outdoors with their flock of birds full time protecting them from aerial and land predators. Without the dogs on alert in the pasture, the birds could not roam about freely as they do. The turkeys have been raised on pasture and fed certified organic grain from Stone House Farm in Livingston, NY.

The farm currently raises around 2,000 broilers (meat birds), 250 hens for eggs and 100 turkey per season.

Sizing choice is first come first serve. If you are set on a certain weight/price point PLEASE pickup early, we cannot hold a specific turkey for you.

Price per pound is $8.75. Final price is determined by final weight less deposit.

Birds will be picked up fresh.  Pickup dates are the following:

Sunday 11/24, 10am - 6pm

Monday 11/25, 10am-6pm

Tuesday 11/26, 10am-6pm

Wednesday 11/27, 10am-6pm
