PEPPERS! & EGGPLANT!

Peppers thrive in warm weather and require a long growing season - always best to plant these as early as your weather allows! Give all your peppers at least 2 square feet of space, they require lots of nutrients and lots of water. Peppers like consistent soil moisture as dry conditions will result in blossom end rot. If you find the blossoms falling off check your weather as high temps during the day and night will cause them to abort their blossoms, as well as low phosphorous.

Some peppers, like Shishitos in particular, will benefit from a tomato cage or some basic support system. This is because they can have weak branches that snap off easily, either during harvest, rainstorms, windy days, or under the weight of their prolific fruit.

Many hot peppers will take longer than expected to mature fully, expect most of your specialty peppers to mature around the month of September.
